1. The United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) has received a grant from World Bank/International Development Association towards the cost of the Emergency Schools Readiness Project and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Construction of Junior Secondary Prototype Schools. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits.
2. The Project Management Unit of the Education Division of the East Timor Transitional Administration invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of
One (1) Prototype Junior Secondary School at Maliana
and;
One (1) Prototype Junior Secondary School at Same.

for a non refundable fee of US$100.00, or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

5. Qualified domestic contractors may be eligible to receive a margin of preference of 7½ percent in Bid evaluation.
